For my EAR project I decided to create a brochure, but it was a close call between that and a newsletter. The newsletter was one of my top two choices because I thought it would be a more professional way to send my research findings to parents and other adults. These past few days I took pictures of a newsletter in order to picture what I would do if I chose the newsletter. Newsletter 1: The first newsletter I found was The Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology, Inc. Newsletter. One of the things I liked about it was that it had their logo on the cover page because I thought it made the newsletter creative. I also liked the inside of the newsletter because I blocked the important information up so that it would be hard to miss. I would try to add both of these components into my newsletter because it would make my newsletter well organized and creative.
Newsletter 2: The second newsletter I found was Administrative Professional Today. I really liked that this newsletter incorporated color. I liked that they used colors and bolded the titles so they would make them pop more. I also liked that they made the titles and subtitles bigger than the actual text. I think that is a creative way to keep things organized and makes it easier for the reader to know what they are reading about. The problem with this newsletter, for me, is that I think that the cover looks too busy. They used almost all of the space on the front page with text. I feel like this would overwhelm the reader and that they might not read the newsletter because of it.
Newsletter 3: The last newsletter that I found was called Education USA. This article is like a combination of both Newsletter 1 and Newsletter 2. It uses color for the title and bolds and enlarges all of the subtitles so that they are easy to find like in Newsletter 2. It also blocks important information like in Newsletter 1. I think that my newsletter would most likely resemble Newsletter 3 because it brings my favorite components from Newsletter 1 and Newsletter 2. I like how this newsletter has a lot of information, but it doesn't look busy and overwhelming.
